At the end of the 1940s, the poet João Cabral de Melo was living in Barcelona, where he acted as the Brasilian consul. He became friends with artists from the Dau al Set group, and in particular with Joan Miró, to whom he dedicated a short essay. The painter responded with three engravings.
A fine edition that brought together both text and engravings was published in 1950 by Edicions de l’Oc. The Casa Amèrica Catalunya has recently published in their km 13.774 imprint a new trilingual version of this in Catalan, Portuguese and Spanish, which also includes original photographs of the creative process and preparatory sketches.

We like books. Making them. Feeling them. Seeing them all the way through to the reader. We care about high quality work and put all our efforts into publishing the best book possible.
